DOCUMENTARY FEATURE

Across the United States, struggling animal shelters have partnered with underfunded state prisons. The idea is for incarcerated individuals to train animals and prepare them for adoption. In the process, these animals and inmates form close bonds, and prisoners learn skills and values they carry with them into the world beyond prison.

We are producing a documentary feature that brings exposure to this important and uplifting story. In the process, we hope to highlight the benefits for both inmates and animals, and push these programs onto the national stage.

At its core, the film aims to remind viewers of our essential shared humanity, through this simple story of society and nature’s most vulnerable.
